Ocean Seafood Village (海王城), Jalan Promenade Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

I have been to Ocean Seafood Village a few times already. I have never been disappointed by them! Will post more pictures in my next visit, which is gonna be very soon. The following were taken during my friends visit from Penang. Ocean Seafood Village is fantastic place if you have guest visiting.

Price: The above cost us RM500+ for four including drinks (2 beers and 2 fruit juice) It is pricey but they worth that money!






ATONG FISH HEAD, BEVERLY FOOD COURT, KOTA KINABALU, MALAYSIA

This is the BEST fish noodles (milk added) i have ever eaten! Can't find it anywhere else, only in Atong Fish Head located at Beverly Food Court .  They serve Fish Head (RM9), Fish Meat (RM7) and Mixture of fish head and fish meat (RM8). You'll miss it right after you have tried it!

Anyway, if your companion is not a fan of Fish noodle, there are other food in the food court such as Penang fried koay teow, Penang Rojak, Dim Sum, Nasi Ayam Ipoh and etc.

The fish soup added milk, tomato, salted veg, ginger, coriander and spring onion. Very flavorful!

Tasty! good to quench your thirst while waiting for the fish head noodle!

Ratings for Fish Head/Meat Noodles:
Taste: 4/5 <- deducted 1 because sometimes the soup got a lil light in taste towards the end of thier business... usually 12pm onwards
Service: 2/5 <- Slow because they only have 1 cook. the waitress were ignorant at times
Price: Thier price is higher than other hawkers who sell fish head noodles

This is a come back for this Spanish food after our first visit because we wanna try more of their food. This time we are very satisfied with the food and services served!



I went back on Saturday and there were people playing guitars and singing from table to table. I still think that this place has a very nice atmosphere.

Mix salad with poached egg, chicken ham, veggies and cheese in honey mustard dressing.

With garlic potato mashed, snow peas and gravy
The taste of the gravy is mild and the portion is small.

Choice of Toppings: Sautéed Onion (RM1.50), Sautéed Mushroom (RM3)

Price: Main Course range from RM19.90-RM28.90. It is expensive but it is worth that price! Fyi, i earn no commision~! ;p

Kuo Man Restaurant 国民茶室, Sunny Garden, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

This shop is famous for the local people. The soup base is different from other soup noodle. You'll need to choose the mixture of ingredients you want for the soup noodle. They are famous for Beef, Fish Paste, Fish Slices, Fresh Prawns. It gets really pack during weekends lunch time! so be there early or eat late! Many people like thier beef selections but too bad i don't take beef. Their fish paste is good. Overall, i personally rate the food above average. You can give it a try for their differentials!

SRI MAJU STEAMBOAT [福华], Kompleks Asia City Phase 2A, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

This is the only place i tried Fish Head Herbal Steamboat [当归鱼头火锅] ever! The fish is as fresh as if it has just got caught from the sea! Two of us went for steamboat. We have ordered Fish Head Herbal Steamboat, minimum order was 700gram RM120/gram, which made up to RM84 for that steam boat. It was raining when we went and we were able to take up the last table. I suggest you guys to make reservation before going. Check out the photos below!

Flavored Soya Sauce with Coriander and Spring Onion

I added some chili sauce in it and it is a perfect match for the fish!!!

Consist of Fish Head, Leaf Mustard [芥菜], Matrimony vine[枸杞], Chinese angelica[当归].....
It takes me 2 hours to just write these names... damn....

I've finished all the fish, ordered some green veg RM4 and golden mushroom RM4 just to accompany the tasty and thick fish soup at the end of the steamboat!

Can't believe the TWO of us were able to finish the steamboat....
